What it means to be a woman in today's world? When I think about what it means about being a woman in today's world I think about gender equality. I know long ago woman did not have the same right as a man and in some places in the world that is is still going on. I believe everyone should be treated the same whether there a woman and man.I want to study hard and go to a good University and become a professor without any discrimination. Being a woman in today's world is much better than long ago, woman were thought to clean, cook, and take care of kids, but now they work, drive, and do what they wish. Woman are considered equal someplace but not many, females and males have many equal rights but women are still not treated equally. Read the two short articles from today's newspaper; how do they make you feel?What does this news mean for women? When I read, "All in a day's work for Cairo's fare lady" I thought why aren't there many women taxi drivers?, and why is it so surprising that a women is driving a taxi? Diving a taxi isn't that hard that a female can't do it. Whenever I go in a taxi it is mostly a man behind the wheel and when I see a female I am surprised. Being surprised about a female taxi driver makes me think. Why do people think female can't do somethings that men can? This news means woman should be allowed to do whatever men can do whether its diving a taxi or becoming the prime minister of Canada. When I read, "Minority women still scarce at the top." I was very surprised that even if 51.3 percent of the region's population is women there are only 2.6 percent of female leaders in GTA businesses and government! There are a total of 45 people in the city council and only 15 of them are female,only 1 out of 3 are female. Why do people think female can't handle somethings? Some women are even wrestlers! This news means women need to do more things that to represent there community so there can one day be a women Prime minister for an average time! I'm very definitely a woman and I enjoy it.
